Phosphate rock is processed to produce phosphorous, which is one of the three main nutrients most commonly used in fertilizers (the other two are nitrogen and potassium). Phosphate can also be turned into phosphoric acid, which is used in everything from food and cosmetics to animal feed and electronics. BSL Partners adapt phosphate resources to deliver customized fertilizers for the specific needs of local soil, climate and crops. This leads to higher crop yields and helps feed the planet more sustainably.
DAHQAN (DAP) ranks among the most important phosphate-based fertilizers, not only for its high nutrient content, but also for its excellent physical properties, such as high solubility and alkaline pH around the dissolving granules. DAP is commonly formulated in a controlled reaction of phosphoric acid with ammonia.
LAMAR (DAP) from the reaction of ammonia and phosphoric acid, Di-Ammonium phosphate (DAP) is one of the most widely used phosphate fertilizer in agriculture across the world today. DAP is composed of 18% Nitrogen and 46% Phosphorus. DAP is alkaline with a high pH, exceeding 7.5.
Mono-ammonium phosphate (MAP) is a binary fertilizer with a complex granule. Water-soluble, it dissolves rapidly to release nitrogen and phosphate. It has a pH of 5 and is comprised of 11% nitrogen, 52% phosphorus.
With the highest phosphate content of any granular fertilizer without nitrogen, Triple super phosphate (TSP) dissolves rapidly to help plants thrive quickly, especially if they have high sulphur needs. It has a pH of 3 and is comprised of 46% phosphorus.
